About
LEN & INGRID
We have worked together for several years in health, social care, education and housing. Our 90 years of combined experience have been spent in the independent, charity, public and private sectors. We have worked individually and jointly in the UK, Canary Islands, Netherlands, Germany, USA and South America. We have done television and radio work. Dr Len published 'Dr Len - 50 Years of Reasons for Investment in Social Care' in July 2023. The book can be found on Amazon UK and is a 'Call to Action' for the Government, in fact for all political parties. It isn't just about Len's professional life but portrays how people needing care and support have experienced Social Care. Len (Leonard) was awarded an MBE for services to people with disabilities in the 2024 New Year Honours. We have both worked for organisations as leaders, managers and practitioners and as individuals in the fields of psychotherapy, counselling, coaching and mentoring.

Len has qualifications in Psychotherapy and Counselling, CBT, Psychology, Social Work, Art Therapy, Higher Education Tutoring and an MBA. Ingrid has qualifications in Coaching and Mentoring, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Learning Disability Nursing, Positive Behaviour Management and also has an MBA. We both have doctorates in our own fields. Our qualifications and associated practical experience have been gained in the UK and the Netherlands. We have served as Trustees of Charities working on alleviating loneliness, empowering and supporting people with learning disabilities, mental health disorders and neurodiverse conditions.

We view lifelong experience, learning and knowledge as absolutely crucial to helping others along with being clear with patients and clients about how we can help and how long it will take to achieve recovery and to find solutions. Psychotherapy does not have to be long or drawn out - it depends on the presenting issues and the type of therapy needed. We will always be honest about what we can do to help. The psychotherapist-patient relationship is very important. It is based on trust, empathy, collaboration, mutual respect and communication in a safe and confidential environment with clear boundaries. Coaching and mentoring are different types of contracts for support and Ingrid will always be transparent about what she can offer and how coaching and mentoring relationships best work. They are also based on trust, collaboration, communication, confidentiality, empathy and mutual respect.
